As part of the Second Saturday Documentary Series, How to Let Go of the World and Love All the Things Climate Can't Change will be shown at 1:30pm on January 13.

Oscar-nominated filmmaker Josh Fox searches for the universal human qualities that will prevail into the future in How to Let Go of the World and Love All of the Things Climate Can’t Change. Fox, best known for Emmy Award-winning Gasland Parts I and II, is recognized as a spokesperson on the issue of fracking and extreme energy development. He acknowledges that it may be too late to prevent the worst consequences of climate change, including its social, physical and economic effects. In search of inspiration, he traveled to 12 countries on 6 continents to ask grassroots environmental activists, “What is so deep inside us that calamity cannot take it away?”

There will be a moderated discussion after the screening. The Second Saturday Documentary Series is co-sponsored by Niles Discovery Church and the San Jose Peace and Justice Center.
